The main differences

Does BigCommerce charge a fee on each order?

In some cases. When shoppers pay through a provider outside BigCommerce’s built-in list, BigCommerce adds 2.0% on Core, 1.0% on Growth and 0.6% on Scale, and its help centre says offline payments such as cash on delivery count too. DripFunnel takes no fee on any order, on any plan; you only pay your payment provider.

Are there sales limits on the plans?

Yes, on BigCommerce. Core is for up to $30K of sales a year and Growth for up to $100K; above that you move up a plan. DripFunnel plans have unlimited orders and differ by products, staff, markets and features, not by how much you sell.

How do you design the store?

On BigCommerce you start from a theme and edit it with the Makeswift visual builder, or have developers build a custom storefront. On DripFunnel you describe your shop and the AI designs the homepage, pages, menus and product pages. You check every change on desktop, tablet and phone before it goes live, and can undo it.

Which has the bigger ecosystem?

BigCommerce, by a long way: it lists over 1,200 apps. DripFunnel builds the features most shops need into its plans instead, from offers to suppliers and selling abroad, and shows on the Pricing page which plan each one starts on.
