Change your plan
Updated 20 October 2026 · OwnersYou can move to a bigger plan when your shop grows, or a smaller one when you need less. This guide explains the Billing page, how upgrades and downgrades are charged, and what happens to anything over a smaller plan’s limits.
Open Billing
Click Billing in the side menu. Only the store owner sees it; managers and staff see “Billing is the store owner’s”.

What’s on the page
- Monthly / Yearly: switches the prices shown. Paying for a year costs half as much as paying monthly for 12 months.
- Plan cards: each plan’s price and its main limits (products, staff accounts, markets, bandwidth). Your current plan is marked Your plan, or Your trial during the trial.
- What each plan includes: opens a full comparison of every plan, row by row.
- This month’s usage: how much of your plan you use, such as products, staff accounts and AI design prompts, with a bar for each. “Nearly full” appears at 80%. At the limit you see “At your limit — your shop stays online”: nothing stops working, you just can’t add more.
- Card that pays for your plan: the card on file. It’s never used for your shoppers’ payments.
- On your invoices and Invoices: see Download your invoices.
Move to a bigger plan (upgrade)
- Choose Monthly or Yearly at the top.
- Press Upgrade on the plan you want.
- A box shows exactly what you’ll pay. An upgrade starts today: you pay for the rest of this period on the new plan, less the unused part of your current plan. This is called prorating. From your next billing date you pay the new plan’s full price.
- Press Switch to and the plan’s name. You see “You’re on” and the new plan.
Moving from monthly to yearly billing works the same way, with Switch to yearly. Tax is added where it applies.
Move to a smaller plan (downgrade)
- Press Switch at period end on the smaller plan.
- The box says “Nothing changes until” your next billing date, and what the new plan costs.
- Press Switch to and the plan’s name. You see “You’ll move to” the plan and the date.
Until that date, nothing changes. A strip on Billing reminds you: “You move to [plan] on [date]”. Press Choose what to keep on it to pick which products stay on sale on the smaller plan. See Choose what to keep on a smaller plan.
Changed your mind? Press Keep and your current plan’s name on your plan’s card. The change is called off.
What happens to things over a smaller plan’s limits
- Products over the limit are paused, never deleted. They’re hidden from shoppers and kept exactly as they are, and they come back when you upgrade.
- Offers that are already live keep running until they end, but you can’t create more than the plan allows.
- Features the smaller plan doesn’t include stop working until you upgrade again. Nothing you made is deleted.
Starter (Free)
Starter (Free) has no button on Billing. You get to it when your trial ends without a plan, or by choosing Move to Free instead when you close your store. It keeps 10 products on sale.
If something goes wrong
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| You’ll need the card that pays for your plan first. | A paid plan needs a card on file. If Billing doesn’t let you add one, contact support and we’ll set it up with you. |
| That card was refused. Try another card. | Your bank declined the payment. Use another card, or ask your bank. |
| The payment didn’t go through, so your plan stays as it is. | Nothing changed. Check the card, then try again. |
| Another change to your plan is going through. | Wait a minute for the first change to finish, then try again. |
| Your store is closing, so its plan can’t change. | You’ve closed your store. See Close your store. |
Questions
Do upgrades start straight away?
Yes. You pay the difference for the rest of this period and can use the new plan’s features at once.
Why does a downgrade wait until the end of the period?
You’ve already paid for the current period, so you keep everything until it ends.
Do you take a fee on my orders?
No. You pay only for your plan, on every plan.
Can my manager change the plan?
No. Only the store owner sees Billing and can change the plan.
