Set up your portal address and email sender
Updated 20 October 2026 · Partner Owners and AdminsYour merchants sign in at your own address, like store.yourcompany.com. On Domains you add that address and an email sender address, copy the DNS records the console gives you to your domain provider, and the console checks them for you.
Before you start
- Owners and Admins can add and remove addresses. Everyone on the team can see them and press Re-check now.
- You need access to the DNS settings of your domain, at the company where you manage it (for example Cloudflare, GoDaddy or Route 53). If someone else looks after your domain, have them ready.
- Add the Merchant portal address first. It’s on your setup checklist, and merchants can’t sign up until it’s live.
Add your portal address
- Open Domains and press Add an address.
- For What is this address for?, choose Merchant portal: where your merchants sign in and build their shops.
- Type the address. A subdomain such as store.yourcompany.com is easiest, and it’s what your merchants will see in their browser. A root domain such as yourcompany.com can’t be a portal address yet. Press Continue.
- The console lists the records to add, each with a Copy button: one points your address at DripFunnel, and one proves the address is yours.
- Sign in to your DNS provider, add exactly those records, and keep the console page open.
- Press I’ve added them. Check now.
Some providers add your domain to the record name for you. If yours does, enter only the part shown before it. Changes usually show within an hour, and can take up to 48.
If the records aren’t found straight away, that’s normal. The console checks every 10 minutes and emails you when the address is live. Nothing else waits on it.
What the status means
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Waiting for DNS | We haven’t found the records yet. Check them against the values on Domains. |
| Verifying | We found records and are checking them. |
| Issuing certificate | The records match. We’re setting up the secure (https) certificate; this usually takes a few minutes. |
| Live | Merchants can sign in at this address. |
| Certificate renewing | The certificate is being renewed. Nothing for you to do. |
| Failed or Stopped working | The records are wrong or were removed. Compare them with the values on Domains, fix them at your provider and press Re-check now. |
Each address shows when it was last checked, and under What we see the value we found next to the value to add. If a portal address stops pointing at DripFunnel, merchants can’t reach your portal, and the console warns you.
Add an email sender address
- Press Add an address and choose Email sender: emails to your merchants and their suppliers come from here.
- Use a subdomain you don’t send other email from, such as mail.yourcompany.com. Replies still go to your support address.
- Add the records the console shows. They include SPF (lets DripFunnel send email for this address), DKIM (signs every email so inboxes trust it) and DMARC (tells inboxes what to do with fakes).
- Press I’ve added them. Check now, and wait for the records to verify.
Sending from your own address isn’t switched on yet, even once the records verify. For now, emails to your merchants go from a DripFunnel sending address, with your product name as the sender and your support address for replies. Adding and verifying the records now means you’re ready when it is.
Your merchants’ shop addresses
- Every shop gets a free address ending in my-store.one as soon as it’s created. Merchants don’t have to add anything for it.
- Merchants can connect their own domain for their shop themselves, from their portal (see Connect your own domain).
- Under Merchants’ own domains on Domains, you can see every domain your merchants have connected and its status, so you can help. A store’s own Domains tab shows the record the merchant needs, and Re-check now.
Remove an address
Open the address and press Remove address. Removing the portal address means merchants can no longer sign in there, though their stores keep working. Removing the email sender sends emails from the fallback sender until you add another.
Questions
Can I use my main domain, like yourcompany.com, for the portal?
Not yet. Use a subdomain such as store.yourcompany.com. It also keeps your own website working, since a root domain pointed at DripFunnel would stop it.
How long does it take to go live?
Usually within an hour of adding the records, and up to 48 hours. The console checks every 10 minutes and emails you when the address is live.
Do emails come from my own domain?
Not yet. You can add and verify your email sender records now, but emails still go from a DripFunnel sending address under your product name, with replies to your support address.
Can I give my merchants’ shops addresses on my own domain?
No. Every shop gets a free my-store.one address, and each merchant can connect their own domain to their shop from their portal.
